Network Operations Resume After v1.1.0 Mainnet Upgrade

Shardeum has successfully completed the v1.1.0 mainnet upgrade to Cosmos EVM v0.6.3, following the approval of Governance Proposal #1.

The upgrade was activated at block height 7,927,860 at approximately 06.40 UTC on October 13, 2026. Following the planned network halt and validator upgrade process, block production has resumed and the Shardeum mainnet is operating normally.

Post-Upgrade Status

The network temporarily halted at the designated upgrade height while validators transitioned to the new v1.1.0 release.

Once sufficient validator voting power came online on the upgraded version, consensus resumed and the network began producing blocks normally again.

The upgrade resulted in approximately 25 minutes of planned network interruption.

What Does v1.1.0 Include?

The v1.1.0 release updates Shardeum’s underlying Cosmos EVM stack to v0.6.3, incorporating upstream security fixes and protocol improvements.

The upgrade was coordinated through Shardeum’s onchain governance process, with Governance Proposal #1 receiving approval before activation at the designated block height.

For Validators and Node Operators

Validators and other node operators should ensure their nodes are running v1.1.0, fully synced, and operating normally following the upgrade.

• Complete your usual post-upgrade operational checks before resuming dependent services.

Applications and services relying on Shardeum mainnet can resume normal activity once their supporting infrastructure is fully operational.

No action is required from regular Shardeum users.
