OCC is a core principle of Shardeum. Short for Open, Collaborative, and Community-driven, OCC reflects our approach to building a decentralized network that empowers unserved and underserved communities, as well as everyday users around the world.
It’s no different from the early days of the internet – when only a small community believed in its potential while much of the world dismissed it. That community ultimately succeeded because the foundation was built on open-source architecture, low barriers to participation, and permissionless innovation.
