There are hundreds of open positions across Shardeum and our ecosystem projects as of this documentation. The job openings cover various verticals such as marketing, design, content creation, community building, social media, asides from development roles. Further, Shardeum offers a ‘General Application’ role for those who may not find an exact match with our currently listed roles but still wish to apply. For part-time and other temporary roles –
You can start by running a node on Shardeum without any technical background. Shardeum also offers the opportunity for you to contribute without needing anyone’s permission or a technical background. Build, write, research, design, develop, talk – any area where you can add value. You are welcome to contribute to blogs in both English and non-English languages, videos, podcasts, community building, designing, creating X threads, organizing community meet ups and workshops and plenty more. We also conduct regular quizzes and other fun activities on our socials like Discord, X/Twitter etc. Join Shardeum Discord to get started today. We’ve announced our SHM airdrop campaign for Phases 1 and 2. Phase 1 is dedicated to our early contributors, who have played a crucial role in Shardeum’s growth since its announcement on February 2, 2022. Phase 2 is designed for incentivized testnet participants. We’ve published a blog detailing both phases, including eligibility criteria, the registration process, important deadlines and how to claim your rewards. We have future airdrop campaigns planned post-mainnet, with approximately 19 million tokens reserved for distribution. Stay tuned to our official channels for updates on future campaigns.

As a Layer 1 blockchain designed for global Web3 adoption and decentralization, Shardeum commits to its foundational principle of being open, collaborative, and community-driven (OCC). As of March 10, 2025, we have transitioned to a dynamic supply tokenomics model. The SHM supply at TGE has been adjusted from the previously planned 508 million to 249 million—a strategic shift aimed at ensuring sustainable incentives and decentralization. Post-mainnet, new SHM will be minted exclusively for node rewards, based on network security requirements and staking participation. This further removes a fixed cap on node rewards which enables the network to reward node operators forever and ensures network integrity for the long term.
And, by joining Shardeum, you contribute to solving the scalability trilemma and maintain high performance with low transaction cost forever.
