Things to Keep in Mind for Stage 4

Kindly keep the following in mind so you can participate in the stage 4 quests smoothly:

1. Onchain and Validator tasks will largely remain the same as in previous stages. Be sure to follow the task instructions to complete them successfully.
2. Once the quest campaign begins, new quest tasks and game attempts will be added and removed periodically throughout the Stage 4 campaign. Make sure to check the quest platform daily so you don’t miss out on any tasks.
3. To prevent last-minute technical issues when participating in and completing quest tasks, we recommend claiming faucet tokens daily or regularly throughout the campaign
4. The combined leaderboard for the ITN campaign will be published after the completion of stage 4.
5. Official details and announcements regarding SHM airdrops will follow next and be shared as we approach the mainnet launch.
6. Only the activities listed on the quest page are eligible for rewards. Tasks performed outside of these listed activities will not qualify for ITN rewards unless specified otherwise.

Top Highlights from Shardeum in the Last Six Months

ITN Success, Bug Bounty, Open-Sourcing and More

Stage 3 of Shardeum’s ITN Atomium campaign built on its strong momentum, engaging over 99,000 participants and recording 18 million transactions. This brought the total to an impressive 640,000 users, including 34,000+ validators, facilitating 24 million transactions overall throughout the ITN journey, which started on June 26, 2024.

Alongside the ITN campaign, Shardeum simultaneously achieved multiple milestones, including launching two bug bounty programs, open-sourcing our source code, implementing critical network upgrades, and setting in motion essential guardrails to ensure a secure mainnet launch.

We are further thrilled to share the incredible response to our ongoing ‘Validator Node Survey,’ with over 7,500 community members sharing valuable details about their hardware resources, hosting choices, and infrastructure investments supporting their node operations on the Shardeum network till date. Code Freeze

As announced here, Shardeum has implemented code freeze on December 17th, 2024 — a critical milestone as we approach mainnet.

What does it mean?

• No additional features will be added before mainnet launch. The code is now locked for final testing and optimization, with only critical bug fixes addressing the stability and security of the network allowed in this phase.
• Code freeze marks a significant moment in our roadmap, setting the foundation for key upcoming events, including Atomium Stage 4, security audits and ultimately, the mainnet launch.
