We’re delighted to share that Kelsey McGuire has been appointed as Chief Growth Officer at Shardeum. She will be responsible for growing Shardeum’s presence in new geographies and refining the internal processes and strategy.

A Web3 native with a proven track record of growing teams and building communities, Kelsey brings a wealth of experience to Shardeum. Having previously served as CMO at CoinFund, and worked in marketing leadership roles at ConsenSys, she is poised to drive Shardeum’s growth and significantly impact the Web3 ecosystem. Kelsey brings a fresh perspective to the team and will play a critical role in developing new creative campaigns to educate and engage their audience and help make decentralization accessible to everyone.

“We have something special with the tech and the team,” Kelsey said. “Shardeum’s incredibly community-oriented approach really resonates with me. I’m thrilled to be part of the Shardeum team and excited about the opportunity to work with such a talented group of people.”

Shardeum launched its betanet “Sphinx” in February 2023, allowing the community to run validator nodes on the network. The network has possibly become the most decentralized testnet in Web3, with over 25,000 validators. Most importantly, the community runs 99% of the validator nodes. Most recently, Shardeum also launched its code release by open-sourcing validator-related repositories. Over the next six months, Shardeum will attend exciting new community events and showcase our commitment to the Web3 ecosystem. We are confident that Kelsey’s expertise and vision will help us reach new heights as we continue to build our presence within the Web3 community.

Nischal Shetty, the co-founder of Shardeum, said, “We are thrilled to welcome Kelsey to the team, as her experience and passion will be instrumental in driving our growth and expanding our reach within the web3 ecosystem. We look forward to working with her to build a more decentralized future for everyone.”

Welcome aboard, Kelsey!
