Shardeum and Tokenscape Launch Game-Based Token Discovery

Today, Shardeum is excited to announce a new ecosystem partnership with Tokenscape – an interactive gaming platform designed to help users to discover and experience tokens in a new, intuitive way: by using them first, instead of buying them first.

Why Game-Based Token Discovery?

For many users, the complex part of Web3 isn’t wallets or transactions – it’s understanding what a token actually does.

Game-based discovery flips the usual flow:

• You start by playing
• You complete simple challenges and quests
• You get tokens as participation rewards
• You learn by doing

This approach makes token discovery more accessible for new and cautious users, offering hands-on experience using tokens for real use cases such as self-custody and permissionless dApp interactions.

How Tokenscape Gaming Works on Shardeum

Through Tokenscape, users can take part in guided, beginner-friendly on-chain interactions that are gamified.

Here’s how it works:

• Users join a limited-time, first-come-first-serve campaign hosted on the Tokenscape platform
• Onboarding is simple, with email-based sign-in and OTP verification
• Participants complete interactive actions and challenges to collect in-game Gems, representing progress within the experience
• Once users complete the required progression milestone (250 Gems), they unlock participation rewards
• SHM rewards are distributed programmatically by the Tokenscape team to eligible participants

To support this launch initially, Shardeum has allocated ~3.2 million SHM in total as participation rewards that will be distributed across ~5,000 participants.
